What belongs in a corporate information pack?
Include verified identity, an accurate business description, approved current capabilities, any confirmed operating area, evidence approved for sharing and current contact details. Date the version so readers can judge whether it is current.
A corporate information pack gives prospective contacts a consistent starting point. It should be short, accurate and easy to update when the business changes.
Start with facts people need to identify the business
Include the verified legal identity, approved business description and suitable contact route. Where a registration identifier is relevant, check it against the official source before including it.
Do not turn a company description into a list of services that have not been confirmed. A clear statement of current scope is more useful than an ambitious catalogue with uncertain delivery capability.
Keep the pack manageable
- Verified identity and business description.
- Approved current capabilities or enquiry purpose.
- Relevant operating area, where confirmed.
- Genuine evidence approved for sharing.
- Contact details and document version date.
Label evidence accurately
A concept image can illustrate an idea, but it should not be presented as a real office, employee or completed project. Likewise, a proposed capability is different from a service that is currently available.
If a recipient needs detailed insurance, contractual or financial material, provide it through the appropriate process. A general information pack does not need to contain every confidential document.
Give the pack a named maintainer and a review date. Remove superseded copies from active circulation while preserving the internal version history.
Before sending it, check that the website, enquiry form and pack tell a consistent story. A recipient should be able to identify the business and understand how to start the right conversation without resolving conflicting descriptions.
General business-process information. Check the circumstances and seek appropriate professional advice for contractual, legal or specialist decisions.
